A new web site was just launched from Atlanta called StreetCred.com
Here's what Atlanta Business Chronicle had to say:
Call it MySpace meets hip-hop.
An Atlanta-based social networking Web site has signed deals with Sony BMG Music Entertainment and Time Warner Inc. to distribute music videos and songs on the site.
And the company, StreetCred Media Group Inc., has signed T.I., the Atlanta-based rapper and actor who is starring in the upcoming movie "American Gangster," as its spokesperson.
Company founder Rocky Williform says the site, StreetCred.com, is part of a national movement to bring the fragmented hip-hop culture together.
