I ordered a phone and Internet access, but it won't be connected for a few more weeks. I promise to write back to each of you when I get back online!
For my beloved tribe (the Echota Cherokee of Alabama): I will be visiting the tribal land very soon. Now that I live in Arab, I am going to try to participate in the meetings and especially the Pow Wows. I hope that my elders will teach me the old ways and share their wisdom. I hope that I will get a chance to meet each and every one of you!
While I was living in Georgia, I researched the Tsalagi and recorded my first visit to New Echota, the graves, the land, and Chief Vann's house. I have taken some fantastic photographs and I plan on creating an Echota calendar for next year. When I get settled down, I will publish everything to the web.
I want to say thank you to all of my friends for your love and support. I wouldn't still be here without you!!!
