Wisdom from an elder of my tribe (Echota Cherokee) reposted

Friday, June 12th, 2009

I love it when the the elders of my tribe share their wisdom. This post by an elder (Honoring You), but it is originally posted by Jim Standing Bear. I found it to be very thought provoking:

YESTERDAY THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION ANNOUCED THAT THE SWINE FLU IS NOW A PANDEMIC FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 40 YEARS.THE NEWS ON ALL FRONTS SEEM TO TRY TO FILL US WITH FEAR AND DREAD.

THE THOUGHT CROSSED MY MIND THAT WHAT IF THE SPRING LEAVES SPENT THEIR ENTIRE TIME DREADING THE FACT THEY WOULD DIE IN THE FALL OR IF NEW BORN SALMON WORRIED THEIR WHOLE LIVES ABOUT HOW THEY WOULD HAVE TO SWIM UP STREAM PAST BEARS AND ROCKS TO SPAWN AND DIE.

LIVE EACH DAY TO THE FULLEST.

WHAT IS MEANT TO BE WILL BE AND KNOW YOU ARE NEVER ALONE AND PROTECTED AND LOVED BY MANY.

MAY WE ALL SEE PAST THE CHALLENGES IN OUR PATH AND MAY WE STAND TOGETHER AS ONE TRIBE, THE TRIBE OF MAN.

As for me, I like to surround my world that I have to deal with, live in, and be responsible for with as much love, kindness, and peace. I am not responsible for all the bad that goes on outside and can do nothing but pray for Creator to show the way.

All will be as it should be.

Aho

Thanks!
