GOP and Dems have lost their damn minds! Here's three ways to help fix budget

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011

Let's rewind for a minute: During Clinton we had a budget surplus. Bush started two wars we couldn't afford and we were beyond broke when Obama took office. We weren't satisfied with the progress of Obama, so we replaced Democrats with GOP. The Republicans made lots of promises that sounded good, but none they could fulfill. To make things worse, they set out on a path to ensure Obama fails. This political posturing couldn't come at a worse time for our country. The year is half over and they still can't agree on the budget. At this point, we need to throw the entire Congress out on it's ass!

Here are three suggestions to help the budget:

1. Make US companies pay their fair share of taxes! YOU and I pay more taxes than billion dollar companies. Two-Thirds of US Companies paid no income taxes. NONE. Not one dollar! 83 of the top 100 publicly traded corporations exploit offshore tax havens. Since 2009: General Electric, Bank of America, CitiGroup, and Exxon Mobil paid $0 in federal income tax. In most cases they not only paid no taxes, but received billion dollar tax credits. I think the uncutUK group is on the right track and finally there is a US version at USuncut.org. We should not be cutting funds to programs that work in order to write huge checks to corporations and complaining about a huge national deficit.

2. We have lost the "wars" in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya. We also can't afford them. Bring our troops home NOW and stop throwing away money on a game we can't win.

3. Get rid of the "Federal Reserve." Despite the name, the "Fed" is really just a group of private bankers and not any agency of our government. The amount of interest our government pays is outrageous. With the bankers in charge of the economy, the only people who will survive are the super rich.

I highly recommend watching The American Dream by The Provocateur Network at The American Dream video on YouTube.com

The youth around the world are not going to stand by idle while waiting on their leaders to fix this mess. Revolutions across Africa and protests in the UK are evidence of this. It is their future at stake. Until we get away from this path of imminent self-destruction, they have no future.

Best regards,
