Rich People Problems

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

The Le Reve ("The Dream") estate in Cumming, GA is one of the most beautiful mansions in America. To construct the mansion, Hubert Humphrey spent over $50,000,000 and it took over three years. The mansion sprawls over the 72 acre estate. It is 47,000 square feet, has 82 rooms over 4 floors which includes 7 bedrooms and 14.5 bathrooms. It has an arcade, model train room, golf simulator, massage room, exercise facility, bowling alley, and a home theater with a concession stand and seats for 27 guests. Outside the gate, it has campgrounds, an 18-hole golf course, a private playground, several sports courts, and fully equipped stables. Just the yearly upkeep of the mansion costs over $1,000,000 a year.

Last year the estate was foreclosed and the bank was only able to sell it at $11,500,000 - a 75% discount off of the $45,000,000 listing price.

Now, if you've earned your money honestly - then what you do with it is your own business, but do you know how many Atlanta children are malnourished, have unsafe and inadequate shelter, and need a college education?

Ah, rich people problems!?!

Best regards,
