Will you share a special moment with me?

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Please share and repost this message. I hope that on Friday April 25th, 2008 you will share a moment of silence with myself and the rest of the world.

I look forward to a day when we can look past all of our differences, and celebrate what we all have in common. We should love and respect every one we meet, because everyone is here for a purpose. Every life has a soul, and every soul is valuable.

We must never forget people like Ryan White, a child who was considered a pariah because he had AIDS. This was just a beautiful kid who had done nothing wrong. He was just a victim of a horrible disease. Thank you Sir Elton John for helping keep the memories of Ryan alive!

We must never forget people like Matthew Shepard who was tied to a fence and beaten only because he was gay. When they discovered his body the next morning, he was covered in blood. There were two white tracks on his face where his tears had washed away the blood. He went into a coma and later died as a result of this horrific beating. I will never forget a reporter asking Matthews mother, "Was your son openly gay?" - his mother replied, "No, my son was not openly gay - he was honestly gay."

I will never forget the day I was told the story about this young kid who gave his friend in class a note on Valentines day.
