2006 Gay Pride week is starting up in Atlanta!
Saturday, June 17, 2006
It is that time of year again for the annual Gay Pride festival in Atlanta! The town is buzzing with excitement as everyone prepares for next week's celebrations.
You can get all of the show schedules and other details at: AtlantaPride.org
Friday will be the opening ceremony followed by a commitment ceremony. I congratulate everyone who is participating in the Friday night festivities.
Saturday is typically the day that the lesbians take over the town. There are all kinds of fun planned for the women all day and night on Saturday.
Sunday is always the biggest day as the 2006 Atlanta Gay Pride Parade kicks off at the civic center. The parade starts at 1PM and ends in Piedmont Park.
I usually attend the parade for each town in the Southeast US. I may not be able to attend the 2006 parades because of health reasons. (I am still saving up for a powered wheelchair)
Y'all have fun and be safe! Welcome to Atlanta!!!
