Why you should NEVER talk to the police!
Saturday, June 21st, 2008
I have a friend who is a top criminal defense attorney. One day, we were talking about life lessons that everyone should know. He told me about a conversation he had with his mentor when he first started practicing law.
In his mentor's office, there was a very large bass mounted on the wall. One day his mentor noticed him staring up at the big fish. His mentor told him something that I will never forget. He said, "See that big fish up there? He can teach you a very good lesson: If he had kept his mouth shut, he would have never gotten caught!!!"
Someone recently posted a very good video, and I would like to pass it on. The video is a lecture being given at a law school. It is divided into two parts, the first being given by a defense attorney, the last half is a police officer. The lecture is about why you should NEVER talk to the police.
The attorney talks very fast, so I encourage you to find an hour to watch the video where you will not be distracted or interrupted.
The first half: Part 1
The last half: Part 2
I hope this helps someone!
