On finding true love and the people you meet
Friday, October 2nd, 2009
I have several friends who are worried that they will never find their true love. Here is my advice:
1: Life is way too short to be unhappy.
2: Think back just five years ago. You have grown into a totally different person than you were back then. Stop worrying about finding your "true love" right now because you (and probably them) will be totally different in a few years anyway. Find someone you like to spend time with and hopefully the two of you will grow together. Sometimes you may grow apart. I promise: as soon as you stop looking for it, you will usually trip right over it!
3: There is a poem that says that the people in your life are with you for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime. Most people you meet will be for a reason. Some will be for a season. Some very precious ones will be there for a lifetime.
