Cartoon Pearls of Wisdom
Monday, May 9th, 2011
I ran across the following pearls of wisdom from three animated cartoons that I saw tonight. Yes, you really can learn something from watching cartoons!
Early Cuyler (Squidbillies) hat says: "If ignorance is bliss, why ain't you smiling?"
Master Shake (Aqua Teen Hunger Force): "The last thing I need is a new friend. I have a hard enough time avoiding all of the ones I have now!"
This dialogue is from a Family Guy episode that aired on 11/2/2008:
Peter Griffin: Ground Zero. So, this is where the first guy got AIDS.
Brian Griffin: Peter, this is the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Peter Griffin: Oh, so Saddam Hussein did this?
Brian Griffin: No.
Peter Griffin: The Iraqi Army?
Brian Griffin: No.
Peter Griffin: Some guys from Iraq?
Brian Griffin: No.
Peter Griffin: That one lady who visited Iraq that one time?
Brian Griffin: No. Peter, Iraq had nothing to do with this. It was a bunch of Saudi Arabians, Lebanese, and Egyptians, financed by a Saudi Arabian guy living in Afghanistan, and sheltered by Pakistanis.
Peter Griffin: So, you're saying we need to invade Iran?
If our intelligence agencies had only watched cartoons..... who knows?
Best regards,
