My Favorite Daily Prayer

This is a simple prayer that I say every day:
Tonight I'm sending up smoke for all of the struggling families and for the friends and loved ones we've lost along the way.
When you lose someone you love, the funeral is the easy part. You're still in a state of shock and you have friends and family by your side. It's after the funeral when things get tough. Sitting alone in a quiet house, thinking about things said and things unsaid, remembering all of the sounds and smells of the past.
I ask the Creator for peace and comfort through these trying times. Let those feeling lonely fill their hearts with love. Let those feeling sad fill their hearts with joy.
Let us be thankful for all of our blessings and help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Help us rid the world of hatred and greed.
Give us strength to complete our life purpose. Give us patience and understanding.
Let us recognize the beauty of our world and help us protect that beauty from further harm.
