While attending Huntsville High School (HHS), Gary spent three years studying medicine at the Huntsville Center for Technology where he dreamed of becoming a forensic pathologist.
In addition to being a home health aid and medical laboratory assistant, Wright served as elected leadership for Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) at the local, district, and state level.
In 1989, at just age 17, Gary was recognized for his achievements by a resolution of the Huntsville City Council.
Without the financial resources to attend college, Wright was forced to abandon his dreams of college or medical school. After graduating from HHS at the age of 17, he moved to Atlanta to work on robotics and engineering jobs.
